Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires all school districts to administer the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) tests in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. Beginning April 22nd through May 9th, all third through sixth-grade students attending Turner Intermediate School will be taking the PSSA exams in the areas of English Language Arts and Math. Fifth-grade students will also take the PSSA test in the area of Science. Testing sessions will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. on exam days. The testing schedule is as follows:
- English Language Arts Testing (Grades 3-6): April 23, 24, 25
- Mathematics Testing (Grades 3-6): April 29, 30
- Science Testing (Grade 5 Only): May 1, 2
- Make-Up Testing: May 5-9
In preparation for our testing during these school days, we ask you to assist your child by making sure they get a good night's sleep and be at school on time. As usual, students will be given the opportunity to enjoy a free breakfast upon arrival. Also, as per district policy, students are not to be in possession of cell phones while in school at Turner Intermediate. Please have your children keep these devices at home.
Please encourage your children to do their best on the test!
